Description Nexen SB702
The summer tire Nexen SB702 is designed for use in compact passenger cars and is ideal for everyday driving. On any asphalt road, it demonstrates ease of handling, reliability of traction properties, braking efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and a long service life.
The tread pattern consists mainly of blocks. The elements are arranged in such a way that they form elongated transverse edges, which provide excellent traction and braking intensity on dry pavement. The solid longitudinal rib running exactly along the center of the tread increases the accuracy of handling and stability of traction properties at high speed. Another important feature of the pattern is the arrangement of its elements with a certain offset relative to each other. This solution significantly levels out the distribution of pressure on the road surface, improving traction and handling on dry pavement, reducing wear and rolling resistance, as well as noise and vibration, especially on poor roads. It is worth noting the arrangement of a significant part of the grooves at an angle, which allows them to use the rotation of the wheel to drain water. This significantly reduces the risk of aquaplaning, bringing it to a minimum even when driving at high speed.
Main features of Nexen SB702:
- a large number of blocks with elongated transverse edges increases traction and braking properties on wet pavement;
- a solid longitudinal rib in the middle of the tread provides ease of handling at high speed, reducing wear and rolling resistance;
- the arrangement of tread blocks with an offset relative to each other improves traction and handling on dry pavement;
- the arrangement of grooves at an angle reduces the risk of hydroplaning by using the rotation of the wheel to drain water
