Despite the fact that the South Korean manufacturer positions the Nexen Roadian A/T off-road tire as a model suitable for use throughout the year, i.e. even in winter, this possibility should be treated with sufficient skepticism. The fact is that it was created taking into account the preferences of car enthusiasts in North America, where the winters familiar to us occur only in the far north of this continent. In the conditions of our country, this model can only be used in the southern regions. Its strongest sides are excellent handling on paved roads and a high level of acoustic comfort.
Semi-circular profile and increased rim size
The excellent handling of this model is ensured due to the use of seemingly insignificant technical solutions. One of them is the semi-circular profile and increased rim size of the tire. This allows for a more dense fixation of the tire on the wheel disc, which, in turn, has a positive effect on handling, as well as providing more reliable protection of the wheel from mechanical damage.
Confident behavior on dirt roads
This tire, despite its obvious "orientation towards asphalt", on dirt roads demonstrates fairly confident behavior. Much of this is due to the design of the shoulder areas, which contain many individual blocks. The distance between them is large enough for the tread to self-clean from the dirt particles that get into it, providing decent traction and coupling properties outside of paved roads.
Stability at high speed
The tread blocks are arranged in such a way that in motion they form a practically continuous contact patch across the entire width of the tire. Along with their rigid design, this gives it excellent stability and reliable coupling properties when moving at high speed.
