Reinforced carcass
When creating this tire, special attention was paid to ensuring maximum reliability, which is quite justified given the operating conditions of SUVs. One of the solutions to this problem was the reinforcement of the carcass. It is distinguished by a two-layer structure, entirely made of steel cord. The use of advanced technologies in their manufacture significantly increased the density of the steel threads, which in turn led to a significant increase in the tire's carrying capacity and its resistance to external aggressive influences.
Above the carcass, the South Korean tire manufacturers placed two layers of breaker, made from lightweight synthetic materials. The non-directional tread pattern of the Nexen Radial A/T (Neo) tire is characterized by an open design. However, the individual blocks that make it up are arranged in such a way that when moving, they form five continuous ribs. This feature, on the one hand, improved the directional stability at high speed, gave the tire's reactions to steering wheel turns speed and accuracy, and on the other hand, increased resistance to uneven wear and reduced rolling resistance.
Confident behavior off-road
No less confident behavior than on the highway is also characteristic of this model off-road. At the same time, its tread pattern is optimized to provide maximum performance on various types of surfaces. It contains many individual blocks with a complex polygonal shape, as well as blocks spaced at a significant distance from each other. During movement, they form a large number of multidirectional edges of adhesion. The significant distance and height of the blocks, on the one hand, allow the tread to quickly get rid of dirt particles and stones that get stuck in it, and on the other hand, provide reliable adhesion, primarily on soils with reduced bearing capacity.
Wear-resistant rubber compound
Most of the numerous advantages of this tire are ensured by the unique properties of its tread compound. It consists of two layers. The top rubber compound has increased elasticity, which makes the tire's ride softer and also improves adhesion to a wet surface. The lower layer is made of a more rigid rubber compound. It is designed to reduce rolling resistance, increase resistance to punctures and cuts, as well as reduce heat generation when driving at high speeds.
