The summer passenger tire Nexen N8000, produced by the South Korean tire giant, is designed for sports passenger cars. The manufacturer refers to this tire as a super high-performance tire category, which is confirmed by the assigned speed indices - W and Y.
The tread pattern of the tire features a fairly aggressive exterior and consists of three central ribs and powerful shoulder areas separated by four wide longitudinal grooves. The asymmetric arrangement of the tread pattern elements significantly improves the efficiency of water removal from the tire's contact patch. The asymmetric tread pattern promotes water suction from the outside of the tread, its further movement through the water drainage system, and removal through the inside of the tread, thereby increasing the water drainage efficiency.
The three central ribs of the Nexen N8000 significantly reduce rolling resistance, reduce the level of noise and vibrations, and significantly improve handling and directional stability when driving at high speeds. The reinforced wide shoulder areas with a rounded profile, equipped with water drainage channels, significantly increase the stability and reliability of vehicle handling when cornering. In addition, the rounded profile is an effective means of combating uneven wear, which has a negative impact on the service life of the tire.
The composition of the tire's rubber compound Nexen N8000 was carefully selected with regard to movement at very high speeds and is characterized by a high content of silica in its composition, which promotes good traction on a wet surface.
