Released by one of the leading South Korean tire manufacturers, the summer passenger tire Nexen N6000 was specifically designed for powerful passenger cars. This model is produced in several dozen of the most popular sizes from 15 to 20 inches. The excellent technical characteristics of this tire are indicated by the highest speed indices Y and W assigned to it.
Despite the somewhat restrained design of the V-shaped symmetric directional tread pattern, this tire has a number of interesting design solutions. In particular, this model has an extended contact patch, which was made possible thanks to the proprietary OBCS technology - Optimized Belt Contour System. Additionally, the tread pattern of the tire contains a double central rib, which has a solid and rigid design. This has made it possible to endow the tire with clear and fast reactions to steering wheel turns, as well as provide excellent directional stability. It is also worth noting the presence of bidirectional V-shaped channels, which, in addition to draining water from the contact patch, provide excellent traction when driving at high speeds.
Another key feature of the Nexen N6000 tire is the narrow width of the shoulder areas, also equipped with drainage channels. This solution has made it possible to increase the stiffness of the tire's sidewalls, which has improved handling, giving it a sporty character.
In addition, this model is favorably distinguished by excellent traction and adhesion characteristics in rainy conditions, which are provided by the thoughtful design of the drainage system, consisting of four wide grooves located longitudinally along the entire tread. The additional efficiency of the drainage system is provided by the presence of many transverse channels made in the form of an ellipse. This shape contributes to the increase in the speed of water drainage from the contact patch.
