The Nexen N'Priz AH5 passenger all-season tire is one of the latest innovations from one of the largest South Korean tire manufacturers. This tire is the second model after the Nexen N'Priz 4S, which is part of the recently introduced all-season tire line. This model was specifically designed for frequently changing road and weather conditions.
Unlike the 4S model, this tire features a tread with an S-shaped pattern, giving the new model a number of significant advantages. In particular, the five-rib design of the tread provides the tire with excellent directional stability.
In the middle part of the tread, there are three longitudinal ribs, divided into separate blocks by a large number of drainage channels. At the same time, the arrangement of the tread blocks at a large angle relative to the direction of movement made it possible to significantly increase the acceleration efficiency, including on slippery surfaces. Meanwhile, the minimum distance between the blocks, which have fairly massive sizes, allows for a more even distribution of pressure across the contact patch. This increases the durability of the tread to wear.
Another characteristic feature of the Nexen N'Priz AH5 tread is its shoulder areas, which have a reinforced design. Thanks to the small-radius profile and high structural rigidity of the shoulder areas, Korean tire manufacturers were able to provide a number of advantages. In particular, the more even distribution of pressure across the contact patch makes it possible to achieve a significant increase in the life of the tire due to the increased durability of its tread to uneven wear. Another advantage is the increased stability and reliability when cornering.
