The summer Korean tire Nexen N'Fera RU1 is specifically designed for premium-class SUVs that operate on any road surface. When developing this model, the company's specialists sought to achieve excellent operational characteristics. The main emphasis was placed on achieving improved handling and safety. To achieve these goals, the latest technologies and the best raw materials were used. Strict quality control throughout the production process made it possible to obtain an excellent tire that meets all world standards and norms.
Asymmetric tread design
An asymmetric tread pattern was used to achieve improved driving qualities. Three rows of blocks in the center helped to achieve excellent stability during straight-line driving and also accelerated the response to steering wheel turns. Since the Nexen N'Fera RU1 tire operates on various surfaces, an reinforced shoulder area was used to improve protection against lateral damage. It is made of a thicker layer of rubber, which reliably protects the tread and increases stability during maneuvers.
The water drainage system deserves special attention. It consists of a large number of small cuts and four large channels. The channels are responsible for quickly removing water from the tread, preventing possible aquaplaning. The cuts perfectly absorb noise when driving, making the ride as comfortable as possible. They also contribute to improved traction on wet road surfaces. Even in heavy rain, the tire provides confident and clear handling on any surface.
Optimized rubber compound composition
When creating this model, a new rubber compound was used, which is characterized by increased elasticity and wear resistance. To increase elasticity, the latest silica was used. This made it possible to achieve increased grip on wet road surfaces and excellent recovery properties of the tire. When driving on poor road surfaces, the tire absorbs all irregularities, increasing ride comfort and reducing the load on suspension components. The use of silicon helped to achieve increased wear resistance, so the tread has a long service life. The new rubber compound, in combination with optimally selected tread blocks, provided an increased contact patch, which increased stability when driving.

Summer tyres, so I wouldn't give 1 star for snow and ice handling to keep the overall score intact. Very satisfied with the tyres, bought them as a replacement for my old Bridgestone Dueler 687 - wooden, noisy, which at 25,000 km had all cracks. The worst tyre, and allegedly an all-season tyre too.
In comparison with the Bridgestones, I was pleasantly surprised by the Nokian RU1! The sidewall, indeed

Used tires only in summer. Bought 235/50/19 for Mercedes GLK220. Very satisfied with the purchase. Lasted for three seasons, planning to buy again for the next season, although the current ones can still be used. Safety above all. Driven on both dry and wet roads, the car behaves normally on the road. Balanced perfectly. Now leaning towards buying this brand again, even though I can afford significantly more expensive options. What's the point of overpaying if

2021 will go down in the history of car enthusiasts as one of the most difficult, expensive, and unpromising - I think everyone understands what I'm talking about. Along with car prices, tire prices have also skyrocketed. And then there's the new car, which doesn't look good on rims smaller than 18 inches in diameter. So, I had to make a compromise between "not Chinese" and "not very expensive". The reviews of Nexen tires were positive on this site and on Drive2, so I decided to take a risk. As a result, the tires are really good, easy to balance, and have not caused any problems over 6,000 miles. The only thing, in my opinion, is that they start to get stiff at temperatures slightly below 10°C (although this should be taken into account with 18-inch diameter and 50-profile tires), as well as some vibration of the car on certain road profiles, although I've noticed the same thing on other cars. But overall, yes, it's normal rubber, handles well at high speeds, and also in the rain. And I almost forgot - it's quiet! So, I confidently recommend it.
