The Nexen N'Fera RU1 SUV model is a summer tire designed for SUVs, including those with a sporty orientation. The tread is characterized by a balance of its operational characteristics, a significant portion of which provides ease of handling and comfort when driving on various types of roads.
New Compound
To expand the functionality of the model, the Korean manufacturer applied a new rubber compound, the distinctive feature of which is an increased percentage of silica. This feature had a positive impact on the elasticity properties, providing the tire with confident grip on the road surface, including in conditions of high humidity. The elasticity also affected the vibration absorption properties that can occur when driving on uneven surfaces. In turn, this improved the driving comfort and also contributed to reducing the load on the suspension system elements.
To ensure strength characteristics, silicon was introduced into the compound composition. This increased the tire's resistance to wear, which had a positive effect on its operational period.
Tread and its features
The asymmetric tread pattern with three rows of blocks in the central part provides a high level of stability during straight-line driving. This system also contributes to improved handling, making the responses to steering wheel turns more precise.
In the lateral zone, the manufacturer placed thickened rubber blocks that provide protection against mechanical impacts. This not only affects the possibility of safe driving on rough roads but also improves stability when performing various maneuvers.
Efficiency in high humidity conditions
To prevent the aquaplaning effect, which can cause skidding, 4 drainage channels are provided, distinguished by their depth. Thanks to them, even a large amount of water is removed from the contact area in minimal time, maintaining the tire's grip with the road. It's worth adding numerous lamellas, the system of which also contributes to water drainage. They also affect noise reduction, providing more comfortable driving conditions.
