The Nankang IV1 winter tire from the Taiwanese manufacturer is designed for owners of passenger cars. The model has studs and is equipped with a directional symmetric tread pattern, which provides stable vehicle behavior on winter roads.
In the central part of the tread, there is a solid rib responsible for efficient handling. On either side of it, block structures of irregular shape are located, which, together with the sidewalls, carry metal studs. Additionally, the entire tread is densely covered with wavy lamellas. This design solution allowed the tire to be reliably fixed in the contact patch, including on icy or snowy roads. The presence of numerous channels and grooves enables the tire to quickly cope with various amounts of water and slush, maintaining the effectiveness of traction and braking characteristics.
