The summer tire MRF ZVTV is designed primarily for compact passenger cars, whose owners value not only comfort but also economy. This model fully meets these requirements, including a fairly democratic cost. Despite a relatively small size range, this tire has excellent applicability. After all, each of the 6 available sizes allows it to be installed on a huge number of modern passenger car models.
Optimized tread pattern
This tire is equipped with a tread featuring an original S-shaped symmetrical non-directional pattern, which includes only four longitudinal ribs. The reduction in the number of functional zones has had a beneficial effect on a whole range of operational characteristics of the MRF ZVTV tire. First and foremost, rolling resistance has decreased significantly, directly affecting fuel economy indicators.
In addition, the reduction of the number of longitudinal ribs to four made it possible to give them more massive dimensions. As a result, the tire has become the owner of a very large contact patch, thanks to which the coupling on a dry road has significantly improved.
Excellent traction properties on wet roads
Each longitudinal rib contains a multitude of transverse edges formed by a large number of individual tread blocks. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates excellent acceleration and braking efficiency, especially on wet pavement.
At the same time, it is impossible not to note the excellent water-draining properties of the tread. The tire's drainage system consists of three longitudinal channels that perform the role of peculiar accumulators. Water that gets into them is intensively removed to the outside through a multitude of transverse grooves.
Main features of MRF ZVTV
- the reduced number of tread elements in combination with their high rigidity provides the tire with low rolling resistance;
- the optimized S-shaped design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern allows the tire to demonstrate excellent traction properties on dry and wet roads;
- a multitude of edges provides excellent braking efficiency on wet pavement;
- the dual construction of the shoulder areas of the tread, thanks to which it was possible to achieve excellent stability when performing maneuvers and passing turns at high speed.
