Summer passenger tire Moscow M-294 is unique in many ways, especially considering its production location and purpose. This model was created by a well-known domestic manufacturer for passenger cars of small and medium classes. At the same time, the extremely successfully selected size range, consisting of exclusively very popular sizes, provides this tire with excellent applicability even to foreign "passenger cars".
Asymmetric tread pattern
Another significant advantage of the model is the presence of a directional tread pattern with an asymmetric arrangement of elements. It contains two main functional zones, one of which provides stability and reliability when driving straight, and the other - high efficiency on wet roads, as well as when accelerating and braking. In addition, it is impossible not to note the presence of five longitudinal ribs, thanks to which the tire Moscow M-294 demonstrates reduced rolling resistance and increased directional stability.
Different design of the outer and inner sides of the tread
In contrast to the inner side, the outer side of the tread, containing only two longitudinal ribs, is characterized by increased deformation resistance of these elements. This design feature gives the tire stability when driving at high speeds, as well as provides accuracy and speed of reactions to steering wheel turns.
In turn, the inner side of the tread, occupying a significant part of it, is distinguished by an increased content of individual blocks. Thanks to this, the contact patch has a multitude of engagement edges.
In addition, it is here that the majority of the drainage system components are located, including transverse grooves of great length, distinguished by an original curved shape. Such a design provides increased water drainage speed from the contact patch, which made it possible to significantly increase the resistance to aquaplaning.
Main features of the Moscow M-294 tire
- unique asymmetric design of the directional tread pattern provides excellent traction regardless of road and weather conditions;
- exceptionally high resistance to aquaplaning due to the large number of drainage grooves, many of which are distinguished by significant length and curved shape, which significantly increases the water drainage speed from the contact patch;
- excellent stability in turns is achieved due to the reinforced design of the shoulder areas, containing a multitude of massive rectangular blocks.
