Mirage MR-200

The Mirage MR-200 summer light truck tire, designed for minivans and small trucks, stands out with its attractive price. It is the end result of an extremely frugal approach to development, in which only simple but very effective solutions were used. This made it possible to create a tire that is not only low in price but also has excellent load-carrying capacity, wear resistance, and excellent traction properties, especially on wet roads.

Durable carcass

A significant part of the numerous advantages of this model is provided due to the design features of the carcass. Its basis is a steel cord. This design element allows the tire to withstand dynamic deformation that occurs during movement, which has had a very positive effect on handling, rolling resistance, resistance to uneven wear, and load-carrying capacity.

Excellent traction properties on dry and wet roads

As mentioned earlier, only simple but effective solutions were used in the development of this model. One of them is the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. Its design contains only four longitudinal ribs, two of which are located in the center, and the other two are shoulder zones. Each of these tread elements has massive dimensions, which made it possible to significantly increase the size of the contact patch, thereby improving traction on dry roads.

Another feature of the tread pattern of this model is the design of the two central longitudinal ribs. Each of them is a row of separate blocks of complex polygonal shape, connected by rigid bridges. This design allows for a significant reduction in rolling resistance, while improving directional stability and handling.

Another advantage of the tread pattern of this tire is its excellent resistance to aquaplaning. This feature was achieved due to the block design. The presence of a large number of individual elements made it possible to equip the tread with a large number of longitudinal and transverse drainage grooves. Thanks to their significant total internal volume, the contact patch is quickly freed from almost any amount of water, which, in turn, increases the resistance to aquaplaning and, along with it, traction on wet roads.
