The Mileking MK625 model is a winter tire for a wide range of passenger cars. Its main task is to provide predictable handling not on "dry asphalt", but on ice, packed snow, and slush. To achieve this, a directional symmetric tread with diamond-shaped blocks and three-dimensional lamellas is used.
Central Zone
In the middle part of the tread, there is a "rib" made up of diamond-shaped blocks. This geometry creates additional cutting edges in any direction of movement - forward, backward, or with a slight slip. Each block is equipped with three-dimensional self-locking lamellas. They do not fold under load, but work as rigid spacers. When braking, they close, increasing the contact patch. And when cornering, they resist shear, maintaining directional stability. The result is that the responsiveness of the steering is preserved even on ice.
Shoulder Areas
Wide "shoulders" of the open type are formed by large-block structures of increased height. They work like miniature off-road tires:
- confident movement on loose snow - the blocks "dig in" and push the mass back;
- stabilization in turns - the outer shoulder takes on the main lateral load, not allowing the car to skid;
- even wear - massive elements are less deformed by temperature fluctuations.
Drainage Network Against Slashing and Aquaplaning
The main danger in winter is not just ice, but slush. This problem is solved in the tire.
Numerous channels that densely encircle the entire surface collect water and meltwater from under the wheel. And diagonal grooves in the shoulder areas instantly drain the liquid outside, not allowing it to linger in the contact patch. Together, they form a spacious drainage network capable of evacuating large volumes of slush without the risk of tire flotation.
