Specifications
DescriptionDescription Michelin XTA 205/80 R15 124J
The commercial tire Michelin XTA is installed on trailers, semi-trailers, and steering axles of trucks. It is characterized by improved grip on wet roads, a wear-resistant tread, and reliability.
Special rubber compound
The tire's tread is made from a specially developed rubber compound. Its physicochemical properties were selected based on the characteristics of intensive use of commercial equipment used for intercity and interregional transportation. In particular, the compound is notable for its ability to reduce rolling resistance due to increased thermal conductivity, which prevents the tire from overheating during prolonged high-speed driving. Additionally, the rubber compound is highly resistant to abrasive wear and aggressive mechanical stress.
Reliable grip on wet surfaces
A distinctive feature of the tread pattern is the presence of wide and deep drainage grooves that run along the tire. Their throughput is further increased by a wavy shape that prevents the formation of vortices in the water flow. As a result, the tire does not lose contact with the road surface even in the heaviest rain. It is also worth noting the presence of numerous lamellas. These slots form sharp edges that the tire reliably grips the wet surface with. The additional effectiveness of the lamellas is ensured by their S-shaped form.
Main features of the Michelin XTA tire
- optimized rubber compound ensures tread resistance to wear, reduces tire heating during high-speed driving;
- four peripheral grooves and numerous S-shaped lamellas improve grip on wet surfaces;
- special carcass design allows for repeated tread restoration.
