Description Michelin Vanpix
The Michelin Vanpix summer tire is specifically designed for light commercial vehicles that are used predominantly on urban and suburban roads, with frequent stopping and starting, and prolonged driving times. It stands out for its combination of the durability of commercial tires for heavy trucks and the comfort and handling of passenger car tires.
One of the key features of this model is the application of the Durable Contact Patch technology, which provides optimal pressure distribution across the contact patch. Thanks to the reinforced carcass structure and increased support area, the tire maintains stable traction even when carrying heavy loads. This not only increases safety and stability but also reduces the likelihood of uneven wear.
The tire's carcass is manufactured using the MaxLoad Reinforced Structure technology, which involves the use of two steel belt layers and a nylon reinforcement layer. This solution allows the tire to withstand increased radial loads without deforming the tread, maintaining the tire's shape during prolonged operation. The reinforced sidewalls with a multi-layer structure protect the tire from cuts and curb impacts.
The tread pattern features a symmetrical design with three wide longitudinal ribs in the central part, massive blocks on the edges, and a system of diagonal transverse grooves. This configuration provides excellent directional stability, confident braking, and effective water drainage. Even in heavy rain, the tire maintains reliable traction with the road, minimizing the risk of hydroplaning. It's worth noting that the groove design was developed using computer modeling with real-time simulation of water flow, which allowed for achieving an ideal balance between traction and wear resistance.
Key features of Michelin Vanpix:
- Durable Contact Patch technology provides even pressure distribution and stable traction under load;
- the reinforced carcass from large commercial tires increases durability and resistance to deformation;
- the compound with special additives reduces rolling resistance, improves wear resistance, and fuel efficiency.
