The Michelin Primacy 4 Acoustic summer tire is addressed to car owners who, in addition to comfortable handling and stable coupling properties, value acoustic comfort in such products. This model is a special version of the same-name tire, differing from it in a reduced level of noise in the car's cabin.
Significant improvement in acoustic comfort was achieved due to a layer of special polyurethane foam applied to the inner side of the tire. The synthetic yellow material has a fine-porous structure. Numerous air-filled cavities absorb sound waves from the rolling of the tire, reducing the noise level in the car's cabin.
The tread pattern is distinguished by an optimized profile of the water drainage channels. As the tire wears out, their volume remains much larger than that of other tires. This allows maintaining increased resistance to aquaplaning. Stability on dry pavement is provided both by the design of the tread and by its optimized profile. Under load, the contact patch increases, and its shape allows distributing pressure over the road surface very evenly. As a result, not only the coupling is enhanced, but also the handling becomes very comfortable.
