Description Michelin Pilot Street Radial
The Michelin Pilot Street motorcycle tire is designed for a rather specific technique - sportbikes with engines from 200 to 400 "cubes". It is more than a preferred option, as unlike most analogs, it has a much more advanced design using modern technologies and materials.
Ideal balance between grip and durability
One of the characteristic features of the tire is that it simultaneously demonstrates excellent grip in any conditions and durability. This is largely due to the design of the tread pattern. Both the front and rear tires have numerous drainage grooves of curved shape, located at a sharp angle to the direction of movement. This solution, on the one hand, provides excellent resistance to aquaplaning and grip on wet roads, and on the other hand, increased anti-wear properties. It is also worth noting the rubber compound, which includes special polymers. They additionally increase the resistance of the tread to abrasive wear.
Sporty handling
Some of the tire's technical solutions were borrowed from the French brand's models for sportbikes with large displacement engines. One of them is the aforementioned tread pattern, as well as the carcass design. It is made entirely of synthetic cord, wound using the most modern technologies. The carcass, in addition to its low weight, has high stiffness, which ensures high directional stability of the tire at high speeds and predictable behavior when maneuvering.
