Description Michelin Pilot Sport
Michelin Pilot Sport from the French manufacturer exploded onto the market since its appearance. At the moment, it is one of the fastest tires on the market. First and foremost, Pilot Sport was designed specifically for exclusive sports cars, as well as high-speed coupes and sedans.
The design of the Pilot Sport tire's tread allowed for maximum performance on wet asphalt, stunning responsiveness, and perfect handling on dry asphalt. Like all summer tires, Michelin Pilot Sport is not designed for use at low temperatures.
Michelin Pilot Sport was formed, thanks to Michelin Advanced technology, from two designs. All sports tires in the Pilot Sport line include a peripheral central rib, framed by a directional tread pattern. The tread design is highly dependent on the tire width: thus, tires with a width of up to 275mm are designed with a V-shaped tread, and larger sizes with a W-shaped tread. The central rib of the Michelin Pilot Sport tire allows for maximum responsiveness from the road surface, providing ideal handling. Longitudinal and lateral drainage grooves effectively clean the tire of water. The varying distance between the tread blocks and their optimized placement allows for excellent acoustic comfort.
The tire's design features a dual cord with high breakage resistance and a spiral using BAZ technology. Reinforced sidewalls allow the tire to enter the sharpest and most complex turns without losing tire quality.
Michelin Pilot Sport tire series
Currently, several sequels to the popular tires have been released: Michelin Pilot Sport 2, Michelin Pilot Sport 3, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup.
These tire models have been occupying the top spots among summer car tires in our review rating for several years. In addition, the high quality of Michelin Pilot Sport tires is constantly noted in various tests by popular domestic and foreign publications.
