The Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 ST summer tire is designed for urban use on a wide range of passenger cars. The model stands out for its directional stability, good maneuverability at various speed modes, smooth ride, and low noise.
The base of the tire is a modern compound, which includes a number of components that increase resistance to overheating. Thanks to them, a certain level of elasticity is maintained and working characteristics are preserved. This factor has also improved acoustic comfort and reduced the level of vibrations transmitted to the car's cabin.
The tread pattern of the model features a developed rib structure, the central part of which is occupied by two ring elements with lateral notches. On the one hand, such a structure has improved the response speed of the steering, and on the other hand, optimized the traction capabilities, both on dry and wet asphalt. Deep ring channels, as well as shoulder zone grooves, form a drainage system that allows for quick drying of the contact patch, preventing the occurrence of aquaplaning.
Among the features, it is worth noting the minimal number of block structures, which has reduced rolling resistance and optimized noise generation. Thanks to the latter, the tire can be used for high-speed driving on the highway for long distances.
Key features of Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 ST:
