Michelin Pilot Sport EV Acoustic

The Michelin Pilot Sport EV Acoustic summer tire is designed for passenger cars with electric and hybrid powertrains. It is intended for use in the most dynamic versions of such models. It is a special modification of the same-name tire, differing from it with improved acoustic comfort. In motion, it is characterized by improved traction and precise handling, including on wet surfaces, and reduced rolling resistance.

The increased acoustic comfort is provided by a special polyurethane insert located on the inside of the tire. The porous material absorbs a significant part of the noise and vibrations that occur during tire rolling, preventing them from being transmitted to the car's cabin through the suspension and body panels.

Another feature of the tire is the tread made of two compounds. Its shoulder zones are made of a rubber mixture that heats up little even during prolonged high-speed driving, which reduces rolling resistance and saves battery charge. In turn, the central part of the tread made of a rigid compound allows for more effective realization of traction and braking effort, increases stability of traction and precision of handling at high speeds.
