Description Michelin Pilot Primacy
The Michelin Pilot Primacy summer tire, produced by one of the world's leading tire industry leaders, is designed for most modern passenger cars. This model has high operating characteristics, ensured by the unique design of the asymmetric directional tread pattern and the innovative composition of the rubber mixture.
As mentioned earlier, the tire tread is equipped with an asymmetric directional pattern, consisting of two parts, one of which provides stability in turns, and the other is responsible for stability and reliability of handling when moving in a straight line. In the very center of the tread, French tire engineers placed a longitudinal rib, which is characterized by a large width and rigid construction. With this solution, it was possible to provide the tire with excellent directional stability when moving even at very high speeds, while also giving it an instant reaction to steering wheel turns.
Thanks to a highly efficient drainage system, consisting of three deep longitudinal grooves and numerous lateral channels, the Michelin Pilot Primacy tire perfectly resists aquaplaning even in very unfavorable conditions. A feature of the tire's drainage system is the diagonal channels made in the form of an ellipse. This promotes the enhancement of water circulation in the contact patch.
The tire's rubber mixture is characterized by a high content of siliceous substances, which provide excellent grip in rainy conditions, reduced rolling resistance, high elasticity, and excellent wear resistance.
Main features of Michelin Pilot Primacy
- excellent grip and handling in any conditions are ensured by the unique design of the asymmetric directional tread pattern;
- phenomenal resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the highest efficiency of the water drainage system, consisting of three deep longitudinal grooves and numerous transverse and diagonal channels;
- excellent stability when cornering due to the reinforced construction of the shoulder areas of the tread;
- excellent directional stability and handling performance, thanks to the rigidity of the central rib.
