Description Michelin MX4
All-season tire Michelin MX4 is designed for compact and medium-sized passenger cars. Developed with consideration of the specific climatic conditions of European countries with their so-called "warm" winters. It stands out for its stability and reliability in handling on wet and snowy surfaces, as well as improved fuel efficiency and high mileage, the "signature" features of tires from this French brand.
Effective tread pattern on slippery surfaces
The symmetric tread pattern features an increased number of gripping edges. They are formed by blocks, as well as by lamellas cut into them and longitudinal ribs. This significantly improves traction on wet and snowy surfaces. Since a significant part of the edges are located transversely, in such conditions, it allows for intense acceleration and braking, practically without resorting to the help of electronic systems that prevent wheel locking and skidding.
Special rubber compound
The tread part of the tire is made from a rubber compound with certain characteristics. The presence of a large amount of silicon dioxide in the composition gives the compound elasticity at negative temperatures, which allows the tire to more effectively grip wet and snowy surfaces in such conditions. The compound includes a package of special polymers that provide uniformity of the rubber compound and increase its strength at the molecular level, and also increase its resistance to tearing and stretching. This significantly increases the resistance of the tread to abrasive wear, which achieves high mileage even on "rough" asphalt.
Stable grip in any conditions
The tire uses a breaker reinforced with an additional cord. Located directly under the tread part of the tire, such a "substrate" has significant resistance to deformation, which allows the dimensions and shape of the contact patch to be preserved under the influence of multidirectional acceleration forces. As a result, the stability of the gripping properties is increased, especially during acceleration, braking, and maneuvering. The resistance to wear is also increased.
Main features of Michelin MX4
- optimized rubber compound, resistant to abrasive wear and elastic at negative temperatures;
- comfortable handling due to the reinforced breaker;
- a tread pattern with a large number of gripping edges, effective on any slippery surfaces, including in winter.
