The Michelin LTX M/S2 all-season tire is designed for pickups, large SUVs, and crossovers. Developed for the North American market, it features improved traction on wet and snowy surfaces.
The tread pattern is distinguished by a high lamellation content for tires in this category. Sinusoidal grooves with a "three-dimensional" profile of vertical walls increase traction and braking intensity on surfaces with very low friction, while ensuring directional stability and precise handling. Another feature of the tread pattern is the enlarged shoulder blocks and their trapezoidal profile. This increases maneuverability stability and prevents uneven wear of the tire's tread. A special rubber compound is used in its manufacture. The increased content of silica dioxide and special polymers in it gives the tire additional "grip" at low temperatures, improving its braking properties, in particular.
