Description Michelin Ivalo 2
The Ivalo 2 model is a winter studded tire used on passenger cars. This is a new generation of studded winter tires, specifically designed for harsh winters.
It has low noise generation, excellent braking and handling on icy surfaces. The rubber compound used in its production consists of 2 components: a soft rubber compound used in the contact patch area and a hard rubber compound used in the base of the tread pattern for more reliable stud seating.
The use of a new type of lamella made the pattern more "rigid", which allowed increasing the number of lamellas and using a softer rubber compound. Due to the deeply "cut" lamellas, their effectiveness was preserved with significant tire wear of the Michelin Ivalo 2. Also, the new lamella structure improved the traction properties.
Key features of Michelin Ivalo 2
