Michelin Energy XT2
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Michelin Energy XT2
The Michelin Energy XT2 summer tire was initially developed for the European market, where it was positioned by the French manufacturer as an all-season model. Against the backdrop of most of its classmates, it stands out with improved traction properties on wet pavement, elasticity of the tread at low temperatures, while maintaining the "signature" properties of the entire Energy tire line - reduced rolling resistance, increased service life, and comfort of handling.
Special rubber compound
One of the features of this model, which provides its excellent fuel efficiency, is the rubber compound used in the manufacture of the tread. Thanks to a special production technology and the use of advanced components, the compound is distinguished by high thermal conductivity. This makes it possible to significantly reduce the heating of the tire, especially during prolonged driving at high speeds, effectively dissipating the heat generated by the internal elements of the tire's design. At the same time, the rolling resistance is reduced, which in turn reduces fuel consumption, and the formation of small cracks due to drying of the tread is prevented, which significantly increases the mileage of the tire.
Optimized carcass and tread profile
Another important distinction of this tire is the combination of an optimized carcass structure and tread profile. The carcass is a multilayered cord, entirely made of modern synthetic materials, which are characterized by high strength and resistance to rupture and stretching at an extremely low weight. In combination with a special winding technology and carefully selected fiber orientation, this made it possible to create a very rigid and deformation-resistant design, which allows the tire to maintain its original shape under constant exposure to multidirectional acceleration forces. This significantly enhances the effectiveness of the tread, the profile of which has a variable curvature, thanks to which the contact patch is significantly increased and takes on a shape that provides extremely even distribution of pressure on the road surface. As a result, the stability of the traction properties is significantly increased, ensuring a more comfortable handling process when maneuvering, reducing wear and rolling resistance.
Improved braking efficiency
A feature of the tire is the design of its tread pattern. It contains a large number of blocks and lamellas, the edges of which are arranged in such a way that they work in interaction with each other. This significantly reduces the braking distance, both on dry and wet pavement. It is worth noting that the effectiveness of these tread elements is significantly enhanced due to the increased rigidity of the carcass.
Key features of Michelin Energy XT2:
- special rubber compound reduces tread heating during prolonged driving, reducing rolling resistance and thereby fuel consumption;
- the combination of an optimized carcass and tread profile increases the stability of traction properties, reliability of handling, fuel efficiency, and tire mileage;
- the special arrangement and large number of gripping edges of blocks and lamellas improve braking properties on dry and wet pavement.

I drove on them for 3 years and would have continued, but I damaged the sidewall by hitting a curb. Had to replace one pair with Barum. Michelin vs Barum is like heaven and earth. Michelin is soft, not noisy, and handles the road well. I was very satisfied with them. Then I bought four Michelin Pilot Exalto wheels, compared to XT1, in my opinion, XT1 is softer and less noisy. Although Exalto handles the road better

Michelin worked out 200%
Very high-quality rubber. I've driven more than 100,000 km on it!!! The rear wheels were worn down to "zero", but it still drives. The only bad thing is that I tore the rear wheel on a curb. If they continued to produce it, I would buy it again without hesitation. It holds the road confidently in any weather. I'm completely satisfied. I'm still thinking about an alternative to Dunlop 9000

Who will take NOTE! Look to properly assemble. Or I had it assembled incorrectly and it pulled to the right. Dense blocks should be outside! 17-06-2004
