It is an improved version of the namesake tire, distinguished by the use of technology in its design that allows the tire to self-seal small penetrating damages in the tread without human intervention.
Selfseal
This tire is characterized by high reliability on any road, largely due to the use of Selfseal technology. The essence of the innovation lies in the application of a special mastic to the inner side of the tread. When a puncture occurs, it is sealed by the flow of air escaping from the tire, restoring its airtightness. In addition to the speed of the damage recovery process, this technology is also beneficial in that it does not in any way deteriorate the operational and driving qualities, unlike Runflat tires with their tooth-shattering vibrations and noise.
Efficiency on any surface
The tire stands out for its efficiency in any climatic conditions, largely due to the design of the tread pattern. It features not only a V-shaped arrangement and narrowness of the arc-shaped blocks. The profile of the tread has a shape that expands the contact patch, giving it a square shape under load. This optimizes the distribution of the vehicle's weight on the road surface, adding reliability to the tire's traction properties.
The use of long and narrow arc-shaped blocks ensures the formation of the so-called "gear effect". In the contact patch, there are constantly located, in a checkerboard pattern, transverse edges with increased length due to their curvature. In addition to the increased silica content, the rubber mixture used in this tire is distinguished by the presence of functional elastomers in its composition. These components increase the uniformity of the compound, allowing the silica content to be increased. As a result, the tread remains elastic at negative temperatures, demonstrating high strength and resistance to tearing and stretching.
