Michelin Alpin A4
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Michelin Alpin A4
Michelin Alpin A4 — the novelty of the winter season 2010 from the French manufacturer Michelin, designed for installation on urban passenger cars. The main goal of the Alpin A4 tire is to withstand harsh winter conditions.
The fourth model of the French tire from the Alpin series has received even better characteristics. The beautiful directional V-shaped tread pattern, special rubber compound composition, and increased number of tread blocks (71 versus 59 of the regular Alpin) allowed the tire to gain an additional 10% acceleration when accelerating on snow and ice, and the braking distance was reduced by 5%. Alpin A4 is designed exclusively for winter time: in the summer, this tire loses all its main characteristics.
Michelin Alpin A4 can be installed on a wide range of different cars with a wheel diameter from R14 to R17.
Technologies in the Michelin Alpin A4 tire
The active tread from Michelin has improved handling, braking, and stability in the most diverse conditions.
The special rubber compound composition Helio Compound+ has improved traction and braking. Safety is guaranteed at any time of the year.
The novelty from Michelin is the most economical winter tire to date: in addition to noticeable fuel savings, it offers an increased mileage of up to 35% from average market indicators.
Carbon dioxide emissions from this tire model are significantly lower than those of analogs.

I bought these tires after reading online reviews, which said that non-studded truck tires are among the most aggressive. I drove through autumn, winter, and spring in the Arctic region. In conclusion, I'm very satisfied, as it behaves well in almost all weather conditions, but it still lags behind traditional studded tires from well-known brands on clean ice. However, it is definitely better than the studded winter tire I had before, the Aurora.

Excellent tire for the money, dry grip is very good, and on par with any budget summer tire. Wet/snow grip is significantly better than any summer tire. Wear is good, and I see no reason for their summer tires to change. Extremely recommended.
