Michelin 4x4 Synchrone
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Michelin 4x4 Synchrone
The Michelin 4x4 Synchrone all-season passenger tire is perfectly suited for year-round use on high-clearance vehicles that are primarily operated in urban conditions. The tire is produced in a sufficiently large number of sizes - from 185/65R15 to 255/50R20, which allows us to confidently talk about the wide applicability of this model.
The design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern is fully consistent with the latest trends in the tire industry, which is evidenced by the presence of five longitudinal ribs - three located in the central part of the tread, and two shoulder zones. At the same time, the scheme of arrangement of the main elements, as well as their shape and size, are more characteristic of highway tires, which once again proves the fairly narrow specialization of this tire. In the center of the Michelin 4x4 Synchrone tread pattern, a longitudinal rib is located, the distinctive feature of which is the lamellas located at a different angle. This was done in order to increase the stiffness of the rib in the longitudinal direction, which made it possible to significantly improve the braking efficiency, taking into account the large weight of high-clearance vehicles. The same lamellas are present on the surface of the blocks, also located in the central part of the tread. In addition, these blocks are distinguished by their massiveness and are executed in the form of a quadrangle, the numerous corners and edges of which contribute to more reliable traction on various types of surfaces.
The design of the shoulder zones also took into account the use of the tire on high-clearance vehicles, due to which they are distinguished by their impressive massiveness and height. At the same time, the shoulder zones are divided into separate blocks by transverse drainage grooves, the sharp edges of which perform the role of off-road traction devices on rough terrain.
The main features of the Michelin 4x4 Synchrone tire
- excellent handling on dry, wet, snowy surfaces, thanks to the optimized design of the symmetrical non-directional tread pattern;
- good cross-country capability, thanks to good self-cleaning properties and excellent traction in both directions of movement;
- excellent braking efficiency and good directional stability due to the rigid design of the central rib.

Good tire for asphalt
I use it on Jeep Grand Cherokee. I can say that it's a good tire for asphalt. A bit stiff, a bit noisy on " rough" road, but in return it holds the road well, handles very well. Regarding wear resistance - I bought a car with this tire, thought I'd drive for a season and buy a new one to drive in the mud. But I've already driven two seasons, and it's still like new. Now I

The tire is extremely hard and noisy, it feels like you're driving on studs in the summer. Pros: indestructible, I've driven 30,000 km on it and it's still brand new, doesn't wear off at all. You won't get stuck in the mud ever, it grips super well. 225/55 R17.

The tire is average in quality. It goes as much as it costs. Handling is mediocre, especially in the rain, the tread in the mud gets clogged (until it happens, it scrapes not bad in principle). Among the advantages are excellent resistance to harsh impacts, wear resistance.
Advantages: indestructibility
Disadvantages: tendency to aquaplaning- Control on a dry road
