The Membat Passion summer tire, with its wide range of sizes, is designed for a wide range of modern passenger cars, including not only city compacts but also large crossovers. Asymmetric Tread Pattern

One of the distinguishing features of this model is its tread pattern with an asymmetric arrangement of elements. Unlike most other tire manufacturers, the choice of Chinese specialists was due to the need to provide not only excellent traction on wet roads but also a low noise level. To achieve this, all tread blocks were placed in a specific sequence, which, in combination with their optimized shape, allowed for the virtually complete elimination of resonant noises and vibrations that occur during movement.

Original Construction of the Central Part and Shoulder Zones

The tread pattern of this tire consists of two functional zones - the central part and the shoulder zones. The central part is distinguished by the presence of many small blocks, grouped into three longitudinal ribs. At the same time, they are connected to each other by special bridges, which make the ribs very rigid. This design feature allows the tire to demonstrate excellent directional stability, lightning-fast response to steering wheel turns, low rolling resistance, and excellent traction properties in both longitudinal and transverse directions.

In turn, the shoulder zones are distinguished by their enormous width, being formed from massive rectangular blocks. Such a structure provides the tire with a multitude of advantages. First and foremost, this is increased stability when cornering. Additionally, it is impossible not to note the improved distribution of external weight across the contact patch, which led to an increase in the durability of the tread to uneven wear, and, consequently, an increase in its service life. Another advantage of such a construction of the shoulder zones is the presence of many very long traction edges, located transversely. This feature provides the tire with excellent efficiency when braking, especially on wet roads.

Excellent Traction on Wet Roads

All five longitudinal ribs are separated from each other by drainage grooves. At the same time, their size varies - in the central part, they are made much wider than in the shoulder zones. The small volume of drainage elements in the shoulder zones is compensated by the presence in this part of the tread pattern of a multitude of transverse channels, through which excess water leaves the contact patch.

Another feature that provides the Membat Passion with excellent traction on wet roads is the rubber compound. It is distinguished by a high content of silica. These silicon-containing substances allow the tread to more closely envelop the irregularities on the surface of the road, ensuring additional traction with it.
