The commercial tire Maxxis WL2 is installed on minivans and light trucks. It is designed for European countries with so-called "soft" winters. It is distinguished by improved handling on wet and thawed snow-covered roads.

The tread pattern is characterized by the massiveness of the elements. In addition to increasing the contact patch, this provides uniform pressure on the road surface. As a result, the tire's carrying capacity is increased, and the level of abrasive impact on the tread is, on the contrary, reduced. Improved handling on slippery surfaces is provided by both the elongated edges of the blocks and the numerous edges formed by sinusoidal lamellas. It is worth noting the use of a rubber compound with a high silica content. This component gives the tire additional grip on wet pavement, rolled snow, and ice.
