The Maxxis UE-103 Radial summer cargo tire, produced by the well-known Taiwanese company, is designed for installation on the wheels of all axles of light trucks, vans, and other commercial vehicles, which are mainly operated in urban conditions.
The design of the tread pattern of the tire was developed with the aim of achieving an ideal balance between safety, durability, and performance. The tread pattern of the tire features two wide central ribs with zigzag edges and two also wide shoulder zones. This structure of the tread elements makes it possible to achieve the maximum possible contact area, low rolling resistance, and also promotes a more even distribution of external load over the entire contact area of the tire. When driving on dry roads, the Maxxis UE-103 tire demonstrates excellent traction with the surface.
In addition, this tire is distinguished by high fuel efficiency, which affects the cost of commercial transportation. Thanks to the zigzag shape of the central ribs and the inner edges of the shoulder zones, it was possible to achieve a significant reduction in noise and vibrations, which made it possible to increase the comfort of the ride. To prevent the occurrence of aquaplaning, the tire pattern is equipped with three wide and deep longitudinal grooves, through which water is diverted from the tire's contact patch. The wide shoulder zones also improve the traction and slip resistance, and effectively combat lateral skidding.
