Description Maxxis Razr
Along with the Bighorn model, the Maxxis Razr ATV tire is one of the greatest successes of the young Asian manufacturer. This can be judged not only by the existence of the second generation of this model, but also by the presence of a whole line of models developed based on its design. Despite this, it continues to be of increased interest to ATV owners. The main reason for this is its universality. This model is equally effective on the most diverse types of surfaces - from sand to rocks.
H-shaped blocks
One of the design features that give this model such high operational characteristics is the numerous H-shaped tread blocks. When in contact with the surface, each of them forms a huge number of edges, which allows the tire to demonstrate its characteristic confident behavior.
At the same time, it is impossible not to note the different scheme of block arrangement on the tires for the front and rear wheels. On the front axle tire, they are arranged in such a way that they form three longitudinal ribs: one in the center and two in the shoulder areas. The central rib provides directional stability, and the shoulder areas, due to the significant distance between the blocks, provide increased efficiency during braking.
In turn, the H-shaped blocks on the tread of the rear wheel tire are arranged in a checkerboard pattern at a significant distance from each other. This arrangement scheme is best suited to provide maximum traction and coupling properties in the longitudinal direction.
Another feature of the rear tire tread is the presence of many small but very high blocks in the shoulder areas. When moving on soft unstable soils, these tread elements act as soil hooks, allowing you to confidently overcome such off-road sections.
Special "racing" compound
This model was developed with the use of sports ATVs in mind. It is this that explains the presence of a number of unique properties in its compound that are not typical for ordinary tires. First of all, this is a very high resistance to tears and punctures. It is provided by special polymer compounds that strengthen the intermolecular bonds between all components of the rubber mixture.
Main features of the Maxxis Razr tire
- unique H-shaped blocks provide excellent grip on the most diverse types of surfaces;
- three longitudinal ribs of the front tire tread improve directional stability and braking efficiency;
- the checkerboard arrangement of the blocks of the rear tire tread gives it exceptional performance during acceleration;
- the special "racing" compound, thanks to special components, has excellent tear resistance, as well as resistance to punctures and cuts, which gives the tire excellent reliability.
