The Maxxis MS1 Waltz summer tire is designed for high dynamic performance of the most powerful versions of compact and medium-sized passenger cars. The tread part of the tire is made of a rubber compound containing, in addition to silicon dioxide, butadiene-styrene rubber. This combination gives the compound excellent tear and tensile strength, as well as the ability to maintain these properties over a very wide temperature range. The tread pattern features four longitudinal grooves of increased volume. This allows for very intensive water evacuation from the contact patch, preventing aquaplaning even at high speeds. In the central part, there are S-shaped slits. They increase the traction-coupling properties on wet surfaces, and also reduce the noise level. The shoulder areas are solid and enlarged in size. This solution improves handling accuracy and directional stability, prevents uneven wear during dynamic maneuvering.
