The Maxxis MP15 SUV summer tire is designed for SUV-class vehicles. It is characterized by pronounced fuel-saving properties, excellent stability on wet surfaces, reliable predictable handling, which simplifies the process of driving a car in difficult situations.
The design of the tread pattern features a dense arrangement of blocks, which form five continuous ribs. This significantly reduces rolling resistance, and due to the more even distribution of the load from the weight of the vehicle across the contact patch, it also reduces the wear rate. The same operational properties are enhanced by other technical solutions. One of them is a carcass with programmed deformation zones. Under load, the contact patch not only increases but also takes on a shape close to a square. As a result, the tire is given reliable and predictable handling, which simplifies the process of driving a car, especially in difficult situations. This ability is also ensured by the presence of numerous lamellas. These narrow slits enhance traction on wet surfaces, forming hundreds of additional edges in the contact patch.
Main features of Maxxis MP15 SUV
- increased mileage due to the optimized design of the carcass and tread pattern, wear-resistant rubber compound;
- low noise and vibration due to the multi-step arrangement of tread elements and the special shape of the drainage channel walls;
- increased number of lamellas enhances traction on wet surfaces.
