Long service life and increased wear resistance of Maxxis MA-Z3 Victra
One of the results of using racing technology was a very long service life for a tire in the Ultra High Performance category, as well as increased resistance to abrasive and uneven wear. This was achieved through the use of special components in the rubber compound and the design of the V-shaped tread pattern, which significantly reduce heat generation during high-speed driving.
Balance between handling and comfort
In addition to the effectiveness of the external appearance of the V-shaped design, the Maxxis MA-Z3 Victra tread pattern is distinguished not only by its high performance but also by a decent level of comfort. It consists of a central part and two shoulder zones. Each of these areas has a certain functionality, which, in fact, gives the tire almost ideal balance.
In particular, the central part of the tread contains many long blocks arranged at a sharp angle to the direction of movement and at a very small distance from each other. The combination of such technical features provides the tire with very significant contact patch sizes, which, in turn, has a positive effect on traction. Additionally, the blocks are arranged with a varying pitch relative to each other, which significantly reduces noise levels.
Increased maneuverability
The design of the shoulder zones is characterized by the presence of very large rectangular blocks. In combination with the small curvature of the tread profile, this gives the tire exceptional stability in corners and makes the feedback more transparent. Another significant advantage of this shoulder zone design is that the rigid block structure optimizes the distribution of external loads on the contact patch, thereby preventing uneven wear.
Maxxis MA-Z3 Victra compound with increased silica content
A significant part of the numerous advantages of this model is achieved due to the physical and chemical properties of the rubber compound. A large part of its composition is represented by silicon-containing components of the new generation, which give the tire increased traction on a cold wet road, as well as improve fuel efficiency and wear resistance. It is also worth noting the excellent tear resistance of the tread, provided by special polymeric compounds.
Reinforced carcass construction
The Maxxis MA-Z3 Victra is perfectly adapted to prolonged high-speed driving. A significant part of the adaptation fell on the carcass, the design of which is distinguished by an extremely small weight and very high rigidity. It is provided by the use of modern synthetic materials of the new generation, as well as the application of advanced winding technologies. They made it possible not only to get rid of any seams and joints but also to significantly increase the density of the synthetic fibers. This feature made the carcass more rigid and also significantly reduced the level of heat generation during high-speed driving.
