Maxxis MA-STL Presa Ice is an excellent winter tire for passenger cars from the renowned Taiwanese manufacturer. Don't be confused by the "Made in China" label - during the production of this tire, it undergoes rigorous quality control to meet the most severe winter conditions. It's no coincidence that Maxxis tires are used for factory equipment on many world-class cars, including Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Ford, and others.
This winter tire from Maxxis is produced by a Chinese plant specifically for the Japanese and Russian markets. It's worth noting that it's perfectly suited for Russian weather conditions, where winters are typically very snowy and icy roads are common.
The undeniable advantages of this tire include, first and foremost, its price. In terms of the "price/quality" ratio, Maxxis MA-STL Presa Ice is a very good option for a winter tire. Secondly, it has no equal in terms of snow traction. This is achieved thanks to the "aggressive" tread, and the shape of its blocks allows the tire to provide excellent grip on the road. Speaking of the "aggressive" tread,
despite this fact, this tire is surprisingly quiet, and its high resistance to rolling will allow the car owner, "shod" in Maxxis tires, to save on fuel.
And a few more words about the tread. In its shoulder area, there are massive blocks that, when digging into the snow, provide excellent traction on any surface. So you can be sure that you won't get stuck halfway. This tire also handles ice perfectly, thanks to the sharp small lamellas scattered throughout the tread surface - on slippery roads, they grip even the smallest irregularities. Finally, the toothed groove located in the center of the tread increases the car's directional stability and facilitates easy handling in any conditions, while the solid spiral-shaped nylon layer ensures excellent balance at any speed.
Also, Maxxis MA-STL Presa Ice stands out for its special rubber compound, specifically designed for snowy and icy roads. As a result, the tire does not freeze at very low temperatures and feels comfortable even on an icy road.
In summary, it can be said that this tire is ideal for conquerors of Russian winter roads and will appeal to its owner not only in terms of price but also in terms of its characteristics. This is a reliable tire for winter roads.
