Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Maxxis AT-980 Bravo
Among other models designed for SUVs, the Maxxis AT-980 Bravo tire stands out for its high performance on any asphalt and dirt roads. The universality of application is ensured by several design features, which will be discussed below.
Productive tread on any surface
This model is equipped with a tread pattern, the design of which is distinguished not only by its aggressive appearance but also by its corresponding efficiency on any surface. This is ensured by the presence of numerous blocks, the shape and arrangement of which are optimally selected.
Increased reliability off-road
The construction of this tire is built around a very strong carcass, entirely made of steel cord. A similar solution was used in the breaker, located directly under the tread. This not only increased the tire's carrying capacity but also gave it strength.
Main features of Maxxis AT980
- a universal tread with a large number of small blocks provides excellent performance on any surface, including winter;
- increased reliability due to a wear-resistant rubber compound and a reinforced carcass design.

Put on 215/70/16 on stock Civic.
Tire - super. Yes, heavy, but for traction - fire. Not straining drove out of a mud puddle with clay loam from black earth. Very good self-cleaning. Silt, of course, clogs it, but self-cleaning is fast.
For myself, I found a plus in this tire - it does not get stuck like MT, on the highway goes softly. Ac- Vehicle:

Hello. Besides the UAZ, I haven’t driven a 4x4. Adjust the comparison taking that into account. I’ve bought these tires in the size 235/85/16. They hold the road well, 150 kmh is stable, they don’t skitter, and on the profile they are quite decent, it’s the same on wet asphalt. Maybe the credit goes to the narrow tread. I haven’t tried them on snow and I don’t plan to. They

First impressions - almost M/T. Similar to Goodrich A/T, but with wider lugs, like on a mud-terrain tyre. Heavy. Made in Thailand.
Balanced well and quickly.
First impressions on asphalt were very pleasant. There's no roar. It rides smoothly, and potholes are "eaten" on a "Woo-hoo!". I was very impressed with the smoothness of the ride.
