All-Season Passenger Tire Matador MPS-125 Variant All Weather was specifically designed for year-round use on light trucks and vans. It is excellent for asphalt roads, while also providing superior reliability, safety, and durability. The extensive size range, consisting of 17 sizes, provides this tire with excellent applicability to most modern models of commercial vehicles.
Longitudinal grooves with serrated edges
The longitudinal drainage grooves, located in the central part of the tread, have serrated edges. This allows them to perform several functions at once. First of all, it is the removal of water and melted snow from the contact patch. Additionally, due to the original shape of the edges, these grooves form a multitude of edges, which significantly improved traction on snowy and icy surfaces.
Longitudinal grooves in the shoulder areas
The shoulder areas of the Matador MPS-125 Variant All Weather tread also have longitudinal grooves, which perform several tasks. Firstly, they optimize the distribution of external pressure on the contact patch and increase the heat dissipation from the shoulder areas, which significantly extends the life of the tire. Secondly, these grooves increase the stiffness in this part of the tread, improving stability when making sharp maneuvers.
Three-dimensional lamellae
To provide high braking efficiency and good traction properties on snowy and icy surfaces, Slovak specialists used three-dimensional lamellae. Several such tread elements are equipped with each block. This allowed to maximize the number of traction edges. Additionally, these lamellae, when in contact with the road, close tightly, thereby increasing the stiffness of the tread, and hence the handling.
Main features of Matador MPS-125 Variant All Weather
- three longitudinal drainage grooves with serrated edges provide excellent resistance to aquaplaning, while forming additional edges, which significantly improves traction on snow and ice;
- a multitude of three-dimensional lamellae additionally form a multitude of sharp edges, allowing for more confident movement on icy surfaces;
- reinforced shoulder areas, due to high stiffness, provide optimal distribution of external load on the contact patch, thereby extending the life of the tire;
- a large number of tread blocks, thanks to which the tire demonstrates excellent traction properties, especially on winter surfaces.
