Matador MP-92 Sibir Snow M+S 225/40 R18 92V XL

The Matador MP-92 Sibir Snow M+S winter passenger tire is designed for full-size SUVs and crossovers, primarily used on asphalt roads. The size range of this model features a wide selection of tire sizes. The Slovak manufacturer produces the tire in 22 different sizes for wheels with a rim diameter from 15 to 20 inches, which provides excellent applicability.

Asymmetric tread design

Aiming to provide the tire with excellent operational characteristics on any type of surface, Slovak tire manufacturers preferred to equip it with an asymmetric tread pattern. It consists of two parts - inner and outer, each of which is designed to perform a certain set of tasks.

The inner side of the tread pattern of the Matador MP-92 Sibir Snow M+S is equipped with wide transverse drainage grooves. These tread elements form numerous edges of adhesion, ensuring optimal driving qualities and a high level of safety when driving on wet roads. In addition, the large volume of drainage grooves allows for quick removal of not only water but also snow slush from the contact patch.

The outer side of the tread pattern has a more closed design, which made it possible to significantly increase the contact patch area. This provides excellent traction on dry pavement. At the same time, the tread blocks on the outer side of the tread have different widths, which made it possible to reduce the noise level.

3D lamellas

To ensure more reliable traction on snow, the tire tread is equipped with a large number of three-dimensional lamellas. At the same time, these tread elements not only form numerous edges of adhesion but also significantly increase the stiffness of the blocks, which improves handling on dry cleared surfaces.
