The Massimo MSW63 winter tire was designed with the characteristics of Scandinavian winters in mind. This allowed it to combine the qualities of both Northern and Central Europe: moderate noise, predictability on asphalt, and exceptional grip on ice.
The tire's tread is designed with a directional pattern featuring V-shaped drainage channels, which provide effective removal of meltwater and snow slush from the contact area. In the central zone, converging blocks form a continuous longitudinal rib, increasing directional stability and steering accuracy on straight roads. At the same time, shoulder blocks with extended grooves and multiple gripping edges enhance traction during maneuvering and acceleration on snow. Thanks to this structure, the tread maintains stability even during dynamic driving, reducing the risk of losing control of the vehicle.
One of the key features of the model is the micro-siping system, where each lamella has a three-dimensional shape. This increases the number of working edges and improves traction on ice, while the lamellae maintain the stiffness of the blocks and prevent excessive movement. In combination with studs, whose insert is made of hardened steel, this provides confident behavior on black ice and when braking.
The tread is manufactured using a rubber compound developed based on new-generation elastomers with the addition of natural oils and silicon dioxide (silica). This formula maintains flexibility at extremely low temperatures, improving contact with the road and reducing the risk of tread cracking.
The carcass design is reinforced with a full-metal breaker and a polyester fiber cord, which allows the tire to withstand significant loads and maintain a stable shape even when driving on uneven surfaces.
Key features of Massimo MSW63:
- 3D Sipe Density technology for improved traction on ice and block stability;
- studs with hardened steel inserts provide reliable braking on black ice;
- modern rubber compound maintains elasticity in frost and reduces wear.
