Description Marshal 719 Power Racer II
The Marshal 719 Power Racer II summer tire is rightfully considered a pride of this small North American manufacturer, which has created an affordable tire with an excellent set of operational qualities. This tire is designed for the widest range of modern passenger cars, including the most powerful "charged" hatchbacks.
To ensure the highest performance in any road conditions, the company's tire engineers used a tread with a V-shaped directional design. However, in order to keep the cost of the final product at a democratic level, the tire's tread pattern is equipped with only four separate functional elements - two shoulder zones with a rounded profile and two longitudinal ribs located in the central part.
To combat the dangerous phenomenon of aquaplaning, all of the above-mentioned functional elements of the tread are separated from each other by three longitudinal grooves, which are distinguished by their large width and depth. This solution made it possible to achieve excellent water removal efficiency from the contact patch, which led to an improvement in the reliability and stability of the Marshal 719 Power Racer II tire when driving in rainy conditions. To improve the water-draining properties of the tread, a multitude of transverse channels were added to its pattern, which are also distinguished by their width and depth.
In order to ensure excellent traction when driving with high lateral acceleration, i.e. in turns, the shoulder zones of the tread were additionally reinforced, and the tire's sidewalls have a rounded profile. This solution made it possible, on the one hand, to minimize the likelihood of uneven wear due to such a profile, and on the other hand, to provide excellent traction when cornering.
