The Italian company Marangoni has recently started producing tires for SUVs. Nevertheless, it has achieved significant success in this area. Much of this is due to the winter model Meteo H/P SUV, which was warmly received, including in our country. Domestic car enthusiasts were attracted not only by the relatively low cost of this tire, but also by its high performance properties, particularly traction on icy and snowy roads.
Asymmetric Tread
In the development of this model, the same-named passenger tire was taken as the basis. From it, in particular, the asymmetric tread design was "borrowed", which is characterized by excellent efficiency on any winter roads. This is due to the presence of several functional zones in it. Each of them, having certain design features, improves certain operational characteristics. Reliable Behavior on Ice Without Studs
Like its counterpart for passenger cars, this model is equipped with a studless tread. However, this does not prevent it from providing a high level of safety when driving on icy surfaces. Traction in such conditions is ensured by several thousand gripping edges. The vast majority of them are formed by numerous lamellas located throughout the tread. To improve handling and directional stability, they have a wavy shape, being arranged at different angles relative to the direction of movement.
