Double V-shaped blocks
A characteristic feature of the tread of this tire is the structure of its central part. It represents a row of very wide blocks of a V-shaped form, divided by a narrow drainage groove into two unequal parts. Such a design gives this part of the tread multifunctionality. The edges of adhesion formed by the blocks located here, in addition to their significant length, are distinguished by a concave shape, which further increases the longitudinal traction and adhesion properties, especially on snow. Moreover, this solution made it possible to significantly reduce the rolling resistance and noise level.
Reliable grip on ice
The "basic" version of this model does not imply the presence of spikes. Nevertheless, the manufacturer provided for the possibility of their installation. They are arranged in such a way that when moving, the spikes form 8 continuous rows, thanks to which the grip on ice becomes very reliable and stable. In their absence, it is not much worse, since the tread has several thousand edges of adhesion formed by numerous lamellas. At the same time, the wavy shape of their walls increases the tire's resistance to lateral skidding.
