Description Marangoni Meteo Esc E+
Marangoni has not been involved in winter tires for a long time. Nevertheless, in this segment, the company has managed to achieve significant successes, one of which is the non-studded model Meteo Esc E+. It is distinguished by its virtually perfect balance, which was achieved through the use of original technical solutions in its design.
Multifunctional central blocks
One of the features of the tread of this tire is the design of its central part. It contains two ribs made up of a large number of blocks. They have a polygonal shape. This provides directional stability and handling agility. At the same time, the long edges of the contact patch formed by them improve longitudinal traction characteristics, and due to their significant inclination and arrangement with a different pitch relative to each other, reduced rolling resistance and low noise level.
Wide drainage grooves
The use of a tread with a large number of individual blocks allowed the developers to equip it with a developed drainage system. The grooves that make up this system are characterized not only by their large number but also by their considerable size. Together with the arrangement of many of them at an angle and against the direction of movement, this allows the tread to be resistant not only to aquaplaning but also to slushplaning.
Main features of the Marangoni Meteo Esc E+ tire
- blocks in the central part, due to their shape and arrangement, improve several operational properties at once, from directional stability to fuel economy;
- wide and deep drainage grooves, many of which are arranged at an angle and against the direction of movement, increase traction in adverse weather conditions;
- numerous lamellas provide reliable traction properties on ice and rolled snow.
