Mabor is a subsidiary of Continental AG (Germany), which owns half of the world's leading tire brands. Currently, Continental AG has acquired a large number of well-known tire manufacturers in various countries: "Contytech", "A.D.C.", "Temic", "Viking", "Mabor", "Gislaved", "Semperit", "Barum", "Uniroyal", "General Tire".

Mabor is the largest Portuguese company specializing in the production of high-quality tires. Continental and Mabor established a joint venture in Lousado from 1989 to 1990, and by 1993, the company had acquired the business and the textile cord factory. Since then, Mabor's engineers have had access to all of Continental AG's latest developments, significantly improving the quality of Mabor's products.
