Description LingLong Greenmax Winter Ice I-15 SUV 255/45 R20 101T

The LingLong Greenmax Winter Ice I-15 SUV winter tire for SUVs and crossovers is designed for operation in the specific conditions of European countries with their so-called "warm" winters. It is characterized by improved traction and coupling properties on snow and dirt, ease of handling at high speeds, reduced fuel consumption, and a long service life.

The tread pattern has a directional design with a characteristic V-shaped arrangement of transverse edges, typical of winter tires. Their large length and aggressive angle of inclination provide excellent traction and stability on snow and dirt. The densely cut lamellas maintain these properties on wet and icy surfaces. Another notable feature of the pattern is the presence of a solid longitudinal rib in the middle, which gives the tire stability when moving at high speeds, reducing rolling resistance.

Key features of the LingLong Greenmax Winter Ice I-15 SUV

- a directional tread pattern with a large number of blocks is effective on snow, ice, and dirt roads;
- a "winter" rubber compound with a high content of "silica" gives the tire elasticity at low temperatures, resistance to abrasive wear and tears;
- a special shape of the tire's running surface increases the contact patch, improving traction and handling.

LingLong Greenmax Winter Ice I-15 SUV: budget winter tyre for SUVs

The model is especially interesting for crossover owners who are looking for affordable winter tyres for urban use in conditions of moderate winter. The main advantage is confident behaviour on snow and a low level of tyre noise at a price 2-3 times lower than premium brands, but on ice requires carefulness typical of non-studded tyres.

Who is it suitable for: This winter tyre is optimal for urban use in regions with a warm winter - southern Russia, Krasnodar region, where temperatures rarely drop below -15°C. Buyers highly appreciate the ability to handle loose snow and snowy slush: the tyre confidently "copes" where other budget models slip. The soft rubber compound retains its elasticity down to -26°C, does not become brittle in frost and provides comfort when driving on uneven roads. In the city, the tyre works quietly - most reviews note a low level of noise, which is rare for winter models in this price segment. Wheel balancing usually passes without problems, the geometry is even, which reduces the risk of vibrations during operation. For mid-range crossovers with a calm driving style, this is a reasonable choice with a good price/quality ratio. If you are looking for winter tyres for daily trips around the city and cleared roads, this model reveals its strengths in this scenario.

Who should consider an alternative: It's better to choose a different class if you live in a region with harsh winters and frequent black ice - the ice grip is inferior to studded counterparts. For highway speeds above 120 km/h, this model is less suitable: there are complaints about noise and directional instability at high speeds. Aggressive driving style and heavy off-road vehicles weighing 2,5+ tons - not the best scenario due to soft sidewalls. If you often drive on uncleared highways or need maximum safety on ice, it's more reasonable to look towards studded models. Drivers who demand sporty handling and sidewall stiffness should consider more expensive alternatives.

Main reason for choice: The main argument for purchasing is the affordable price while maintaining key winter characteristics for urban use. You get proven snow traction, comfort, and low noise without overpaying for the brand. The practical benefit is that for the price of a budget studded tyre, you get a quiet tyre with good tread life. A reasonable compromise: you sacrifice maximum ice grip for comfort and price, which is justified for cleared urban roads. The level of expectations should be kept realistic - this is not a sports or extreme winter tyre, but a reliable workhorse for daily use. The final advice: if your scenario matches urban and moderate winter conditions, the purchase seems justified.
