The directional tread pattern contains predominantly large elements, which form elongated edges in the contact patch. This significantly improves traction properties, primarily on snow. The large width of the drainage grooves and their direction against the direction of motion in such conditions allows additional strengthening of traction, ensuring reliability of handling in adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the tread contains a large number of lamellas. Their pointed, saw-toothed edges, located almost at a right angle to the direction of motion, provide excellent longitudinal traction on icy surfaces.
