The presence of a large number of differently directed grooves allows the tire to avoid aquaplaning at almost any speed, even with significant wear of the tread. Also worth noting is the optimization of the profile of the tread. This expands the contact patch, improving handling, allowing the tire to be more resistant to abrasive wear.
