Landrock Black Ice

When a winter road turns into a mix of rolled snow, ice, and wet asphalt, you need a tire that speaks the same language as the surface — the language of friction. Landrock Black Ice is a modern friction winter tire designed for a wide range of light commercial vehicles. Its task is to provide maximum grip, handling predictability, and a short braking distance where other tires give up.

The company's engineers have bet on the intelligent geometry of the tread and adaptive rubber compound to give you confidence behind the wheel in any winter weather. The entire working surface of the tread is covered with a dense network of three-dimensional lamellas with reinforced edges. This is the key technology for ice grip. When loaded, the lamellas open up, creating a multitude of sharp micro-edges that literally dig into the ice and dense snow. The different direction and stiffness of the tread blocks provide stability in turns (fighting skidding) and during acceleration/braking (reducing wheel spin).

The tire is made from a special rubber compound enriched with silicon additives and polymers. The composition remains elastic at extremely low temperatures (down to -30°C and below), ensuring the "stickiness" of the tread and effective grip. At positive temperatures, the compound does not become excessively soft, which protects the tire from accelerated wear and maintains stable characteristics.

The wide and deep drainage channels, connected to the lamella system, perform a dual function. They instantly remove water and snow slush from the contact patch, maintaining grip on wet asphalt. They prevent the tread from clogging with melting snow and dirt ("slashing"), maintaining its performance in slush.
