The all-season tire Kumho HA31 is suitable for most modern passenger cars. The operational properties of the model are tailored to the road conditions of regions with so-called "warm" winters. It is characterized by improved grip on wet and snowy surfaces, as well as directional stability and accuracy when driving at high speeds.
The tread pattern features a "directional" design with V-shaped drainage grooves. Their large number, curved shape, and orientation against the direction of motion allow for the removal of water and its heavy mixture with road dirt and snow from the contact patch with very high intensity. The resulting elongated transverse edges enable intense acceleration and deceleration, especially on snowy surfaces.
The effectiveness in the absence of grip is ensured by the use of 3D lamellas. Together, they form several thousand sharp edges that easily penetrate the water film on the road surface. It is worth noting the physicochemical properties of the rubber compound, which significantly increases the "grip" of the tread in such conditions. The compound contains a large amount of silicon dioxide, which gives it good elasticity even at low temperatures. In addition, this component, along with special polymers, significantly increases the strength of the tread against tearing and stretching, which has a positive effect on its resistance to mechanical damage, as well as abrasive wear.
